What Versions of BMW iDrive Are There?

Updating your BMW iDrive system is dependent on the version of iDrive you have on your car. Some of the systems that BMW has had over the years include CHAMP, EntryNav, EntryNav Evo, CCC, CIC, NBT, NBT Evo, and MGU. All About the BMW iDrive Update

If it’s time for a BMW iDrive update, you might have to go for a full or partial update. A great BMW iDrive hack will help you figure out whether you need a full or partial BMW iDrive update.

  • System-wide issues that persist for multiple features in your car might require that your dealer reset your electronic control modules. BMW of Murrieta is highly skilled in BMW iDrive updates and other facets of automotive service.

  2. Enter the VIN on the main BMW software updates page to see if updates are available.
  3. Download the updates and move them to a USB drive.
  4. Insert the USB drive into one of the BMW USB ports in your vehicle.
  5. Navigate to “Settings” on your iDrive system.
  6. Once you’re in the Settings menu, click on “Software Update” and follow the on-screen steps for how to update BMW software.
