BMW RELEASES LAUNCH FILM FOR THE 2019 BMW X5 SAV

Pay your respects to the boss.

We took a brief look at the all-new 2019 BMW X5 back in June, but at the time we only had a handful of details, and not a lot of specifics into what new features, experiences, and designs that the new fourth-generation midsize SAV would be bringing with it.

We’re excited to be able to update you now.

NEW 2019 BMW X5 ENGINE POWER

Powertrain options for the new generation will look similar to last year’s–but with a twist. Standard power for the 2019 BMW X5 will come from a 335-horsepower 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine, with range-topping, M-inspired power coming from a 456-horsepower 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine.

The new model will be more powerful than the 2018 BMW X5 by about 35 horsepower for the standard six-cylinder, and 11 horsepower for the high-performance V8 engine.

BIGGER BODY, BIGGER PERSONALITY

Be prepared to be in awe–the new fourth-gen BMW X5 has grown all over, for a more formidable look and feel that complements its new personality. The 2019 model is longer and taller by about an inch in both directions, but it’s wider by more than 2.5 inches.

That may not seem like much, but those interior inches add up. We can expect to see larger numbers for cargo and passenger volume alike, but official specs aren’t yet available.
