Standard on the 2019 BMW X7 xDrive40i is a 3.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder, 24-valve engine, capable of producing 335 hp. It is paired with an 8-speed Sport Automatic transmission with Sport and Manual shift modes plus steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and Launch Control.

The 2019 BMW X7 xDrive50i, on the other hand, is equipped with a 4.4-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo V-8, 32-valve engine, which delivers a boost in power to 456 hp.
