Each 2023 BMW i7 comes with a 105.7kWh high-voltage lithium-ion battery under the hood, a significantly larger battery than the other BMW electric sedan, the BMW i4, for increased performance and range. This battery, combined with impressive performance features such as Brake Energy Regeneration and electronic throttle control, allows the BMW i7 range to reach from 296 miles to 318 miles on a full charge, depending on the size and materials chosen for the wheels– plenty of mileage for a full day of shopping or a short road trip out from Ontario.

2023 BMW i7 Charging Times

The best way to keep your BMW i7 battery at capacity is to plug it into an electric car charger. There are three types of charging available for the BMW i7: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. Level 1 charging is the most common, as any standard 120V home outlet can be used to plug in your BMW i7. That said, Level 1 charging takes days to fully charge your vehicle. Your best bet is to have Level 2 charging installed, such as the BMW Wallbox or Flexible Fast Charger, or use public Level 3 charging for your day-to-day drives.
