THE BOSS HAS ARRIVED
The BMW X5 was the very first Sports Activity Vehicle to arrive in the BMW lineup, even before Y2K, and its legend is built into the very fabric of BMW crossovers.
The all-new 2019 BMW X5 marks the beginning of the fourth generation of the nameplate, and while it brings plenty of new features, mechanical upgrades, and a new platform, it holds tight to the iconic design and uncompromising capability that made it one of the best luxury midsize SUVs in California.
MEET THE NEW 2019 BMW X5
The signature dual kidney grille is larger and more connected; the headlights are slightly more separated; the taillights are a bit more robust. But, when you first look at the 2019 BMW X5, you may not notice any huge style changes.
But, that’s by design. This is a recipe that doesn’t need much changing.
Big updates happen in the platform and the actual sizing: the all-new 2019 model is longer, wider, and taller than the outgoing generation. The size boost isn’t enough to make it look or feel particularly larger, but it’s enough to help space up passenger and cargo volume–though we don’t have official specs just yet.
Powertrain equipment carries over from the 2018 model (a 3.0-liter six cylinder and a 4.4-liter V8), but both systems are more powerful for 2019.
An all-new BMW X5 Off-Road Package will also be available–which we’re especially looking forward to learning more about.
“The Boss” will be landing in our fair state sometime in November.
Check back with our blog this summer for more information about Murrieta’s new boss of the road.
